The 993’s early life shows careful routine upkeep: the first documented service (7/27/1998, ~16 k mi) replaced the drive belts and completed an oil-change detail. At 18,075 mi (2/11/2000) the A/C expansion valve was renewed and the oil/filter changed, followed by a fresh set of drive belts at 24,705 mi on 3/31/2003. In 2007 the car received a brake-fluid flush during a mileage-based service , and the same month new left-hand tail-light and head-lamp lenses were fitted .

Scott Finlay Motorsports then became the primary caretaker. Their invoices note correction of a leaking valve-cover assembly and a full “major service / 60 k” package with fresh Mobil 1, filters, seals and ancillary parts , plus belt adjustment during follow-up visits . Finlay also handled day-to-day reliability items: a new battery and fuses in August 2012 and a replacement horn in November 2012 .

The most comprehensive refresh came at European Auto Motors in 2018. At 49,823 mi (1/24/2018) both front axles were replaced, the clutch slave cylinder, timing/front-cover and valve-cover gaskets were renewed, spark plugs installed, fluids changed, exterior lights serviced and the tailgate struts swapped . A follow-up visit on 7/20/2018 (51,965 mi) fitted new serpentine and accessory belts and re-checked belt tension . These works, combined with the earlier Finlay major service, give the car a solid mechanical baseline and up-to-date leak and belt maintenance.
