Porsche 911 993 Carrera 4S – Eleven Cars

This car proposed has been delivered new in Germany in this black / black livery. It is in France since 2008. This 4S is in good condition. The paint is of good quality, paint thicknesses are consistent on the entire (‘auto. We note some small impacts of gravel on the front panel. Auto has never been accidental. The Interior is in perfect condition. It is equipped with sunroof, rear wiper, full leather. A discreet Bluetooth radio is installed. In mechanical it works perfectly, nothing to report. A major maintenance was carried out in June 2020 (135 400 km), the engine seal was made on this occasion. The logbook is of course present as well as a large part of the invoices. Recovery and possible financing.

The first series Porsches with all-wheel drive appeared in 1989 with the Generation 964. However, these cars were often criticized for a relative lack of sportiness. In 1994, Porsche launched the generation 993, and the 4-wheel drive version was presented at the Paris Motor Show. The 993 Carrera 4 offers the same technical and aesthetic features as the normal Carrera, and introduces a completely new integral transmission, 50% lighter than the one of the 964 generation.

At the end of 1995, Porsche introduced the Carrera 4S, which with its well-designed Turbo Look makes the car even sexier than a normal 993, thanks in particular to its wider and more curved rear wings.

The 4S has indeed a large part of the Turbo look, with a front spoiler and sportier rocker panels. The body height is lower than a normal 993 (-10 front and -20 rear), all this with the 18″ Turbo’s 18″ rims. The 4S uses the same chassis as the Turbo and the big brakes with the red ethers with 4 pistons in 322 and 299 mm.

The 4S is also better equipped than a standard 993, since it is among others equipped with Full Leather (full leather at Porsche includes the dashboard).

In mechanical terms, no improvement is made. The engine remains the 3.6 Varioram developing 285 hp (except optional X51 version) on the 4S. The 272 hp has never been offered on the 4S.

Heavier by about 30 kilos than a standard 993, the 4S is therefore a little less powerful and a little more sluggish. The difference remains however minimal, less to push (‘auto in its entrenchments. However, it remains in our eyes one of the most beautiful 993 produced.
