The 996 GT3 Mark I is the first GT3 ever built, it was developed to race on the competitions GT3 FIA category, the first series more than to be the first it is really important for Porsche factory because it has a relevant technologic features: Mezger engine dry sump with GT1 and 962 origin with crankcase 964/993, and last Porsche hand made from the Motorsport factory at Weissach.
