The 997 is the most commercially successful Porsche 911 of all time. It has been argued that this is the last of the real Porsches, referring to the 997 series as the factory’s swansong whilst under independent ownership.

The styling of the 997 was based on the much favoured 993 generation’s appearance with the much-loved oval-shaped headlights returning to the front of this iconic car. The interior was re-designed with new controls, more reminiscent of the classic 911 interiors.

The 997 range was revised in 2008, with the Generation II, and gained the new direct fuel injection engine (91DFI unit), which produces 345 HP at 6,500rpm, revised styling, new front driving lights, restyled LED rear lights and touch-screen navigation. The Carrera can travel from 0 to 62 mph in 4.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 179mph.

Supplied by Porsche Centre Cardiff in January 2012, the 997 Coupe has been serviced regularly by both Porsche main dealers and Porsche specialists, and boasts just one former keeper. It will also be supplied with a comprehensive warranty and a new MOT certificate.
