Not only the exhaust but also the intake system was completely addressed. In addition, the car had a lot of sportier design elements including the ‘fast mirrors’ and centerlock wheels. The 44mm wider ‘behind’ swung around with 30.5cm wide rubber to the ground. A GTS was ordered standard with alcantara, and a ‘sportauspuffanlage’. The latter could of course be activated by that familiar Porsche button which recognizably presents two exhaust pipes. The simple little button still gets an ear-to-ear grin on the face of young or old.
Now I have often heard; « nice that Sport-Chrono, but I don’t understand why people care so much about that little clock on the dashboard? » This is just the tip of the iceberg folks! Why ours is collectible or enthusiast-worthy? 46,000 kilometers of boxer engine fun, German car which is fully Porsche-maintained, full first paint, manual transmission with sunroof and sport-chrono. We couldn’t have picked it better ourselves. As a garage queen or weekend cruiser, in both cases this car is ‘the one to have’.
