Porsche 997.2 Turbo

Hexagon Classics are delighted to offer this rather striking 997 Turbo Cabriolet manual in Aqua Blue with full Grey natural leather interior and a black electrically operated roof. It has been specified with a large list of factory options and looks perfect in this classic colour combination. Porsche built just 1,752 997 Gen II Turbo Cabriolets for worldwide distribution, so the production numbers are fewer than the Turbo S.

The engines for the Turbo Gen II gained direct fuel injection from 2009 onwards. The difference between the two lies in the region where the air-fuel mixture is formed. While air and fuel are mixed before the inlet valves in the manifold fuel injection, direct fuel injection means, that the fuel gets injected directly to the cylinder. With the enlarged capacity of 3,800 cm³, the Stuttgart engineers raised the power output of the 997 Turbo Gen II up to 500 bhp at 6,000 rpm. Maximum torque was offered in the same rev range, as in the 997.1, but rose to 650 Nm without the overboost and up to 700 Nm with overboost. 0-62 mph acceleration is achieved in just 4.0 seconds and top speed is 193 miles per hour where permissible.

Our car has Porsche’s 6-speed manual gearbox, and the Sport Chrono Plus package for more spirited throttle, damper and stability control settings at the press of a button. Other developments included the latest 911 Turbo’s four-wheel drive hardware and PTV, or Porsche Torque Vectoring, which varied the drive to each individual rear wheel for more neutral cornering and spectacular traction. Despite its phenomenal performance, it is also an easy car to drive in all conditions.

Originally supplied new in November 2009, our vehicle has enjoyed regular scheduled Porsche Centre servicing.  The history file contains invoices for works carried out. It has a complete book pack and its spare remote key, and will also be supplied with a comprehensive 12-month warranty.
