The Tiptronic automatic transmission does its work smoothly and quickly: 0-100 km/h is achieved within 5.8 seconds and the top speed of 275 km/h is definitely worthy of the Autobahn. De discrete Basalt Black carrosserie met eronder hoogglans zwarte wielen, accentueren het oer-karakter van de Elfer. Deze 997 Carrera 4 herkent u uit duizenden. Vuurrode remklauwen en een prachtige, diepe glans zorgen ondertussen voor een onderscheidende touch. Zodat dit er niet één uit duizenden is, maar “one in a million”.
Interieur
Met het zwarte dak naar achteren gezakt, krijgen toeschouwers meteen een zeer goede indruk van de staat van de binnenkant. Met de nadruk op “zeer goed”. Het zwart lederen interieur verkeert in uitstekende conditie en ook de rest van de cockpit verraadt niets over de leeftijd van 16 jaar. Nu we het hardop zeggen, kunnen we het zelf amper geloven. Het Sport Chrono klokje heeft net zo’n prominente plek op het dashboard als bij de nieuwere 911 modellen. En ook aan de strakke lay-out, overzichtelijkheid en hoge kwaliteit is er gedurende de jaren niets veranderd. Dit is meteen ook de kracht van de Porsche 911: iets dat goed is blijft goed en wordt hooguit geëvolueerd.
