The Porsche 997; the successor to the controversial 996 that many a purist had to get used to immensely…. The 996 was a major culture shock; The first liquid-cooled Porsche 911. Also, many were very dissatisfied with its « new look. So Porsche came up with a compromise; The 997. A more classic look, but secretly with the 996 (further developed) liquid-cooled technology. Simply, because it is more efficient, thus ultimately schneller! Something to do with; If you don’t see it, you feel it less.
