The 911 “S” is an old name that was originally reserved for the sportiest versions of the 911. Criticized by purists and losing sales of late, the 911 Carrera needed a few updates to regain its sex appeal. More than a genuine new model, the 997 generation is the logical follow-up to the 996, to which it brings a number of aesthetic and technical evolutions.
