The 997.1 Turbo is the last 911 Turbo to house the iconic 911 GT1-derived Mezger twin-turbocharged engine in conjunction with a manual transmission. 997.2 Turbos feature an all-new engine, while the 991 and now 992 Turbos are only seen in PDK. Though the latter cars are more dynamic, powerful and an even more technological tour de force than the 997.1 Turbo, the former are larger in size and dont feature the sought-after favorable sizing and mechanicalness as offered by the 997.1 Turbo. The 997.1 Turbo is very much a new-age Porsche 959 with heighten usability for everyday use and is that car that will not be replicated again. 

With an original MSRP of $144,395, this unicorn of a Turbo cabriolet  was specified with the following factory ordered options (along with some of this its standard features):

Powering this Turbo Cabriolet is a rear-mounted, twin-turbocharged 3.6L flat-six, 911 GT1 derived engine, producing a stout 480 hp and 460 ft-lbs of torque (performance figures of 0-60 in an estimated 3.8 seconds, a top speed of 193 mph; with the overboost function enabled by the optioned Sport Chrono, torque briefly rises to 505 ft-lbs); while having the power sent to all four wheels.
