The 2010 Cayman S is a favorite for Porsche fans. The car has great handling and balance thanks to its mid-engine design and compact size. The naturally aspirated 3.4L Flat-six puts down 320 horsepower and is just the right amount of power to have fun on the street and be competitive on the track. The second generation of the Caymen called 987.2, were greatly improved in the engine design which eliminated the prior model’s IMS bearing concerns and featured direct fuel injection. For the 2010 model year USA-bound production, only 543 Cayman S models were sent over and of those it is thought that less than half were 6-speed manuals. Specific breakdown of PDK vs 6MT have not been made available by Porsche but general thought is that roughly 70% of vehicles produced from 2009-2012 were PDK. Given the very low production numbers for 987.2 6-speed manuals this is a rare vehicle indeed.
