Chassis 109041, a left hand drive example was completed in December 1959 and delivered new to a lady in California via Hoffman Motors, the Porsche Concessionaire in New York. After six years of enjoyable motoring she sold the car to its second owner who clearly liked the 356 as they retained it for over forty years, the car being stored for the last twenty years of this ownership. The third owner took the car home to Texas from where it was purchased by the fourth owner who took the car to their holiday home in Florida before bringing the car back with them to the UK in 2014 where it joined the other cars in their significant private collection.

The fifth and last owner, a British Porsche enthusiast purchased the car in 2015 and sent the car to the respected 356 specialist ,Export 56, for evaluation. They carried out extensive bodywork restoration to the lower half of the car along with much mechanical and trim detail work. Since then the car has seen very little use and hence it presents in excellent order in all respects with that lovely jewel-like detail that only the good 356 examples exhibit. On the road it does not disappoint, the engine runs beautifully smoothly. as it should, and the car performs in a taut, controlled manner and is very clearly a well-sorted example.

It comes with an extensive history file with photographs and invoicing fully documenting the recent restoration work completed.
