The first Porsche 911s were produced in late 1964, always equipped with the 2.0-litre engine with 130 hp. In late 1966, the 911S was presented, at the time as the new top model. These very early 911s which still feature a 6-digit vinnumber, received an “S” stamped behind the chassis number at the factory for the S version. A special feature of this first 911 S series.
Power increased by more than 20% over the “normal” 911 to 160 hp, giving a top speed of 225 km/h, which was incredible at the time.
This stunning 911 was delivered new in Germany in May 1967 by Cologne-based Porsche dealer Fleischhauer. In the beautiful cult colour bahama yellow with a black interior. Exactly as it looks today. The engine is matching-numbers, the gearbox is not, but it is a correct 5-speed from 1968.
The first owner owned the 911 until 1991, at which time it was already bought by a collector. He signed it out in 1994 and he decided to fully restore the 911. An intensive restoration of reportedly 3 years was carried out at the time. In 2012, the 911 was bought by a Dutch collector, who registered the 911 in the Netherlands.
He has owned it until now. In all these years he has driven just under 1000 km with it. The 911 has been maintained in all these years, as evidenced by the 2-yearly MOT inspections that have been carried out. Now we have fully inspected and serviced this 911 S.
