For many years, 2shores has been offering selected, finest grade examples of air-cooled Porsches. This fantastic Porsche 911S Coupe is one of those examples!
In 1969, the slightly lengthened B series of the 911 was introduced. It moved the rear wheels on all 911 and 912 models 57 mm back, increasing the wheelbase from 2,211 to 2,268 mm (87.0 to 89.3 in) to remedy the car’s nervous handling at high speeds. Fuel injection arrived both for the 911S and a new middle model, the 911E.
Our car on offer underwent a complete nut and bolt restoration from 2015 to 2018 and the car is stunning. Finished in its factory original and highly sought after tangerine (6809) exterior over black interior.
This 69 S still carries the original and numbers matching S engine, producing a healthy 170hp for the model year, the most powerful of all the 2.0l engines before displacement was enlarged to 2.2l in 1970. The 1969 is the first 911S with the slightly longer wheelbase and the last with the 2.0 displacement engine. It is also the first with mechanical fuel injection. In many ways, a very special model.
A truly magnificent 911S Coupe in one of the best color combinations available. Timeless beauty combined with outstanding performance. The 69 Porsche 911S was among the fastest road cars of the time.
