Exterior: The bodywork of this Turbo is in very beautiful condition. The “Arktissilber Metallic” grey has retained a beautiful shine, and it’s still in factory paint! There are some signs of use here and there but they remain discreet without tarnishing the overall appearance of the car. Notably, the plastic front spoiler deserves to be replaced. The 996 Turbo specific rims are in good condition.
Interior: The interior of the 996 is very well preserved. The grey leathers that cover it have been well maintained, the seats are comfortable and provide good support. The dashboard and all the interior elements are in beautiful condition. The speaker grille located in the driver’s door panel needs to be reattached. All the onboard instrumentation is functional. The electric sunroof works well and is perfectly waterproof.
Mechanical: The engine runs very well. It’s good to know that the 996 turbo models are not affected by IMS issues. The performance level is surprising for a car that’s over 20 years old, the car is noticeably more lively than a 996 4S. Without claiming the speed level of the more recent 911s’ PDK, the Tiptronic gearbox is responsive and pleasant to use. The driving behaviour is sharp, while allowing for more versatile use than a GT3, for example.
Underbody: The underbody of the car is healthy. According to the owner, the car has not been in an accident. Additional photos are available upon request.
