2011 PORSCHE 911 GT3 RS 4.0 – Maxted-Page Limited
The Porsche 911 GT3 RS 4.0 was the final evolution of the 997. A limited edition model of only 600 cars, which featured a special 4.0 litre version of the last ever Metzger designed engine and six-speed manual transmission.
At 500hp and 339lb ft. torque at 5750rpm; the 4.0 litre flat-six enginewith its crankshaft lifted unchanged from the GT3 RSR racing car, was one of the most powerful six-cylinder naturally aspirated engines in any production car. Performance is 3.9 seconds for 0-100 kilometers per hour (62 mph), with a redline-limited top speed of 193 mph and an official Nürburgring lap time of 7:27.00.Weight reduction was of supreme importance too, hence a 10kg reduction to 1,360 kgs through lightweight components such as carbon fibre bonnet and front wings, polycarbonate rear screen and quarter windows and a weight-optimised interior package. Its wider-track, large rear wing and unique front dive planes (flics) reduce high-speed front-end lift, all contributing to the GT3 RS 4.0’s enormous performance and handling capabilities.
