Das Fahrzeug im Detail

Due to the owner falling ill the car has been stored in a garage for some time, and when the owners health did not improve the family made the decision to put the car up for sale. During this time unfortunately all the paperwork that went with the car was lost, and this is reflected in the price. Before coming to us it underwent a full service at Porsche Haninge totalling over 62145 SEK, we have the receipts for this work.

The last of the aircooled 911’s, the 993 was the replacement for the 964, and was manufactured and sold between January 1994 and early 1998. This was no facelift and the car benefitted from a ground up design, borrowing just 20% of its parts from the 964. It featured a significantly revised 3.6 L engine with power up from 247 to 270bhp, controlled via a 6 speed manual or TipTronic. One of the most discussed changes also sits out back – a new suspension setup replacing the semi trailing arm design, featuring two upper links and a lower control which settled the tendancy to snap oversteer.

The 993 perfectly bridges the classic air cooled era and the day to day driveability and comfort of the modern water cooled cars. It truly feels like a 911 you can drive every day. Packing three decades of learnings into a versatile package it will happily take you on race tracks, road trips, the daily commute and even the nursery run with ease.
