A very special 356A.
Matching numbers 1957 356 A (T1) LHD coupe
Original Kardex shows delivery in March 1957 to Hoffman, the Porsche main dealer for New York.
Believed to be completely matching, and never welded so gaps are factory.

We are told that this remarkable 356 was brought to Germany in its first original paint, stripped on the outside to bare metal some years ago to ensure there was not underlying rust and repainted in its original colour of Lago green (5605). The engine, transmission and other technical items were rebuilt to the tune of 80,000 euros.
Excellent shut lines, original lenses, glass, wheels etc. Factory Beige leatherette interior. Factory body coloured dash. One of the last 1957 356 to feature the beehive rear lights (replaced by teardrops in Spring 1957), also the rear number plate light changed from above to below the plate. Paint code 5605 became Fjord green at this period also.
