The interior is equally impressive, with correct square weave carpet, African mahogany dash trim, restored original green gauges, black vinyl trimmed panels, period Momo Prototipo, 2 x Recaro Profi SPG seats with cord inserts, 2 x Schroth Enduro Harnesses and a Lifeline Zero 360 Extinguisher system. All of which are all still in date.
The suspension on the car has been set up using all of the testing and development from the last 10 years to ensure the roll bars, torsion bars, dampers are working in unison to deliver the ultimate SWB driving experience. These cars are well set up, fast but also progressive and predictable.
The gearbox has been fully stripped with all parts being cleaned, vapour blasted and inspected. Then rebuilt using custom ratio’s and LSD, all new synchro’s, dog rings and bearings basically delivery a brand new correct type 901 gearbox.
Finally the engine has been built to FIA and 2.0 Cup specifications with knife-edged and balance crank, custom made pistons, Mahle barrels, gas flowed heads with our custom valves and finally custom spec’d cam shafts.
Overall this is the most beautifully finished car we have built that has only covered 1500kms of (trouble free) road miles since restoration and is ready to be enjoyed today. The car is eligible for the Peter Auto 2.0L Cup, Masters Gentleman Drivers, GTSCC, Spa 6 hours, MRL Pall Mall 3 hour races as well as the Tour Auto and Modena Cento Ore.
The car is sold with a V5, spare wheel, Porsche tool roll and FIA HTP papers.
