1973, a new generation Porsche 911, the 2nd generation. Name of this series: G-Model. Production started in 1973 and the last one rolled off the production bench in 1989.
The G-Model was a response to the stricter emission and safety requirements. A number of issues were addressed before that, but in terms of design, the 911 remained close to its roots.
This complete range of G-models received the well-known 6-cylinder boxer engine. However, for the first series, the engine capacity was increased from 2.4 liters to 2.7 liters. The base G model came with 150hp. In addition, various other models were delivered such as: S, Carrera and the Carrera RS. This first series (1973-1977) all received a 2.7 liter 6-cylinder boxer engine with a power varied from 150 hp (Basic) to 210 hp (Carrera RS)
Then our model, a 911S from February 1974. In 2018 we found this example in America. The bodywork was found to be in excellent condition upon arrival in the Netherlands and required no welding. With us in Enter, the 911 was completely stripped and made bare. The body was repainted on the top, inside and bottom of the car. Besides the body work, every bolt, nut and rubber was replaced. A book with more than 50+ pages of invoices of all replaced parts is available. In addition to the book of invoices, there is a restoration book with photos and a valuation report.
In addition to replacing and returning to original condition, adjustments were also made where necessary. The engine has been completely overhauled and rebuilt. The engine capacity was increased from a 2.7 liter to 2.9 liter, forged pistons were custom made for this 911. In addition, it got custom made VMO carburetors and new 123 ignition with GPS. This makes it possible to switch off the car remotely in the event of theft!
Because the engine capacity was increased to 2.9 liters, the oil cooling system was addressed. New oil coolers and pipes were installed, similar to a system also found in the 3.2L system. To make the experience of this beautiful 911 come into its own, a Custom made exhaust system was made, completely made of stainless steel, but more importantly: built to RSR specifications.
The chassis was also completely addressed and is completely new. To improve driving comfort, the chassis was fitted with PU bushings with Biltstein shock absorbers. This gives the 911 better driving stability, even when cornering!
This 911S was given the beautiful color blue and a set of Fuchs rims according to the customer’s wishes. A wonderful combination if you ask us! To create the total picture, the complete interior matching was made. A beautiful Custom made interior with tartan in the colors black, blue and red. The subtle red line in the upholstery is reflected in the Porsche letters at the bottom of the door panels. Like the first series of the G-Model, this 911S also got chrome moldings and exterior mirror.
With this 911S you bring fun and driving experience into your home! Long tour rides are no problem! Thanks to the light clutch and the improved driving comfort, you can easily spend hours in this Porsche. The Custom made exhaust system provides a real experience that will make every Porsche enthusiast happy. A Custom made project that has been worked on with a lot of love and passion and which is accurate down to the last detail. Are you curious about more photos? Visit our website.
