Das Fahrzeug im Detail

This Porsche 911 has undergone a full transformation by Singer Vehicle Design in California. Singer helped source the donor car, a 1991 911 Targa. The build has been named „Niseko“, a city in Japan famous for the best powder snow in the winter. Inspired by the verdant forests and alpine flora of the Hokkaido mountains, the owner chose the paint-to-sample color Onyx Green Metallic. It’s quite a striking color in person, subtle yet vibrant in the sun. All the brightwork has been finished in a subtle Champagne nickel. The Fuchs wheels share the same finish, with the centers and lips painted to match the nickel over a black center.

Inside is where the you’ll find an opulent custom trimmed Recaro reclining bucket seats adorned with light grey Quito leather with woven centers. The dashboard received the same treatment in the center complimented by a 24k gold Singer badge. The air vents are painted to match the color of the leather.

Singer has chosen to hide the Porsche Classic radio buttons by carefully cutting holes just large enough for the buttons and screen to show through. The climate control has all new knobs and still have a retro feel while feeling brand new. A MOMO suede wheel with light grey stitching connects you to the car. The shift knob is African black wood with a deleted shift pattern and the central tachometer is finished in grey with black markings. Surrounding the Quito leather is Torre Del Lago suede nubuck which is seen on the dash, pillars, headliner, and the top of the doors. There’s so much attention to detail and so many small accents that I could stare at the interior by itself for hours. To finish it all off, the tunnels and inner sills have been painted to match the exterior Onyx Green Metallic paint.

Let’s not forget about the beating heart of the Porsche; the flat six cylinder that has been reworked by Ed Pink Racing Engines. This 4.0l is the best engine option you can select for a Singer build. Putting out nearly 400hp and connected to an upgraded 6 speed transmission rockets the car from 0-60 in around 3 seconds. The intake plenum is a thing of beauty and looks like a piece of jewelry.

Road feel is precise and tight without being too stiff thanks to Ohlins sport adjustable coilovers. Brembo brake calipers and high performance rotors were added as an option and Michelin PS4S are standard. The 911 was already one of the most well rounded sports cars, and Singer has turned up the dial with their restoration process. More than a piece of art, the car drives like a brand new car while still retaining the analog feel of a classic 911. Showing 3,300 miles after the completion of the build, (2023) the car has just returned from Singer to receive a 3k mile service and overall checkup. The car is ready to go and needs nothing.

Carbon fiber bodywork and a stout drivetrain makes for a lightweight and fast roadcar with Pagani-like attention to detail inside. The owner has optioned this car extremely well and anyone agrees Singer’s build quality is second to none. There’s so much detail in every single inch of the car that it simply can’t be described in words. You can feel the craftsmanship and soul when driving „Niseko“. It’s just you and the car, and you understand Singer’s motto: Everything is Important.
