1975 PORSCHE 911 TURBO for sale!

This 1975 Porsche 930 Turbo is one of a claimed 274 examples built for the model’s initial year of production and was delivered new in Germany before being distributed to Japan. Finished in silver over black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a turbocharged 3.0-liter flat-six mated to a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes 15″ Fuchs wheels, fog lights, a whale-tail spoiler, front sport seats, power windows, air conditioning, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette stereo. The car was imported from Japan to the US by the selling dealer in 2019 before being sold to a client in the Czech Republic. The selling dealer reacquired the car in April 2023, and subsequent service involved fluid changes, an alignment, and replacement of the fuel pumps and oil pressure sensors. This 930 Turbo is now offered by the selling dealer in San Diego, California, with manufacturer’s literature, a tool roll, and a clean Montana title.

Produced to homologate the model for competition in FIA series events, the Type 930 was introduced at the 1974 Paris Motor Show. This example was finished from the factory in Silver Metallic (936) and was repainted under previous ownership. Black stone guard film has been applied in front of the rear wheel arches, and further exterior details include fog lights, headlight washers, black window frames, body-color side mirrors, slim rear bumperettes, a rear window wiper, and a “whale tail” rear spoiler.

Staggered-width 15″ Fuchs wheels feature polished lips and wear 205/50 front and 225/50 rear Bridgestone Potenza tires that were mounted in preparation for the sale. A space-saver spare is stored in the front storage compartment. The car is equipped with a rear sway bar, and stopping power is provided by ventilated disc brakes at each corner. The brakes were bled and the ride height was adjusted in June 2023.

The cabin houses Recaro front bucket sport seats trimmed in black leather and accompanied by a color-coordinated dashboard, headliner, and door panels. Black carpeting lines the floors, and additional appointments include power windows, folding rear jump seats, and a Blaupunkt AM/FM cassette player. The air conditioning system is said to have been overhauled in November 2019.

The three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in leather and fronts VDO instrumentation consisting of a central tachometer, a clock, and combination gauges. The five-digit odometer shows 69k kilometers (~43k miles), and the speedometer face is topped with a Japanese-market 300-km/h sticker featuring red indicated areas. The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six is boosted by a KKK turbocharger and was factory rated at 260 horsepower and 253 lb-ft of torque. Service performed in preparation for the sale involved changing the oil and replacing the fuel pumps, spark plugs, and oil pressure switch and sending unit. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential with 4.0:1 gears. A Bischoff muffler is equipped, and black undercoating has been applied to the underside.
