By now (March 1998) the 996 models were being delivered and very few 993 were made bearing the W date digit in the VIN number denoting a true 1998 model year air cooled 911.
This amazing find was with the original owner who collected his new car (having preferred it to a 996) from our local Porsche centre and paying £83,136. Since then it has covered only 17,500 miles, most of those miles in recent years simply the result of driving to and from the dealer for maintenance and little more than gentle occasional exercise.
Although not the cheapest 993 on the market, this is where the smart money sits. You know you would get maximum driving experience, minimum risk of major bills and have something that will always be prized.
Imagine in ten years time how even more special it will become?
No more are made like this, others may get rebuilt, restored but the rarest classic of all is the immaculate original.
All correct details are with the car including the original order.
