PORSCHE 996 CARRERA CABRIO – 2001
The 996 Cabrio was the first to be equipped with a water-cooled engine, the outer line was updated and cockpit too, to ensure a high level of comfort.
These innovations were not considered by the „purists“ a step forward for the evolution of the 911 although, even customers were not convinced of the changes, one of them the headlights that supplanted for the first time the round headlight typical of the model and the Targa.
The addition of two large side air intakes, slits on the front and rear bumpers and the aileron increased the aggressiveness and aerodynamic performance of this model.
