12 Hours of Spa 2026 – Michelin 992 Endurance Cup by Creventic

Creventic, the world’s largest organizer of endurance races, hosted the inaugural 12 Hours of Spa in 2024. Only Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars were eligible to compete in the so-called Michelin 992 Endurance Cup. Following the success of the first two editions, the third edition of the endurance cup race will take place in 2026. On September 4 and 5, numerous teams are once again expected to compete for victory at Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, all driving identical cars.

A Porsche Cup endurance race seemed like a logical choice

In Creventic’s world-renowned 24H SERIES, more than 40 teams compete in each race across the GT3, GT4, GTX, TCE, and 992 classes. Most teams—in some cases up to 20—compete in the 992 class. That’s why, in 2023, Creventic conducted a survey among endurance racing teams to find out if they would participate in an endurance race featuring exclusively Porsche 992 GT3 Cup cars. Following the overwhelmingly positive response, the Dutch race organizers teamed up with Michelin and organized the first endurance race exclusively for Porsches in 2024—the Michelin 992 Endurance Cup.

Numerous well-known teams signed up for the very first edition. Black Falcon, Max Kruse Racing, Krämer, and GP-Elite are now established names in endurance and cup racing and battled for the title in the inaugural Michelin 992 Endurance Cup. After 12 hours of thrilling racing action in the Ardennes, victory went to the Black Falcon team. Loek Hartog, Christopher Mies, Tobias Müller, and Noah Nagelsdiek drove a flawless race. They secured the top spot on the podium ahead of the Max Kruse Racing team and Red Camel Jordans.

The 992 Endurance Cup was awesome. Everyone has the same cars and the same tires, and it works really well. I’m sure there will be 50 cars on the starting grid next year.

The concept remained just as appealing for the second edition. Identical 992-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Cup cars, Michelin tires for all teams, and a 12-hour race on one of Europe’s most challenging circuits once again made for a closely contested race. The Porsche 992 GT3 Cup is already one of the most widely used race cars in international customer motorsports. This unique endurance race will once again be supported by Michelin as the tire partner in 2026.

Michelin 992 Endurance Cup powered by Porsche Motorsport – The Schedule

Racing on the Ardennes Roller Coaster begins on Friday, September 4. Free practice sessions and several qualifying sessions will be held then. There will also be an additional night practice session in the evening to prepare the drivers for the lighting conditions on race day. After all, the race on Saturday won’t end until after dark.

Saturday, September 5 is the big day. Gates open at 9 a.m. for the third edition of the world’s only endurance one-make series. All ticket holders can then head straight to the starting grid, where you can experience the tension right before the race starts up close and personal. And who knows—maybe you’ll even run into some of your racing idols? After all, Creventic is known for consistently attracting a wealth of top-tier drivers—including those from the international Carrera Cups.

The Michelin 992 Endurance Cup offers a unique, exceptionally action-packed endurance race

At 9:45 a.m., the all-Porsche endurance race will get underway for the third time. You can follow the action up close from any spot around the track. With your ticket, you have free seating in all grandstands and can walk around the track during the race as you please. This way, you can watch the cars race through the Ardennes roller coaster from different angles and under varying lighting conditions.

As in previous years, we expect an extremely close race with intense wheel-to-wheel battles. When numerous identical cars battle it out for 12 hours, there are duels and passing maneuvers on nearly every lap. Of course, this also means there’s the potential for plenty of paint-to-paint contact between the cars and yellow-flag periods. Then the safety car brings the field back together, followed by a flying restart. Add to that the tactical aspect of pit stops and the unpredictable Ardennes weather. So everything is set for unforgettable racing action at the Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps.

There’s plenty for Porsche fans to see off the track and in the paddock, too!

The town of Spa itself is worth the trip. At every turn, you’re reminded of the region’s deep connection to motorsports. Restaurants featuring framed racing suits are just as common as Formula cars decorating the walls. At the track itself, numerous other activities await visitors in the paddock.

Here, you can do more than just admire a wide array of Porsche sports cars! Together with the Porsche Club Francorchamps, Creventic is once again hosting the Porsche Paddock Rendezvous. Exclusively for Porsche vehicles, of course… And naturally, a variety of caterers will be waiting for you in the paddock. In the Grand Marquee, you can also purchase plenty of memorabilia, model cars, and related merchandise.

In GT racing, there aren’t just different vehicle categories. There’s also a distinction among drivers. Depending on their personal achievements and experience, they are classified into a specific category. These range from Bronze for amateurs to Silver, Gold, and Platinum. In the top Platinum category, for example, there are drivers with a Super License who are even allowed to compete in Formula 1. In the 992 Endurance Cup, therefore, ambitious amateurs could—theoretically—compete against Formula 1 drivers.
