A very neat Porsche 911 (996.2) Carrera 2 with manual transmission.
After several years of loyal service, this beautiful 996 may be sold to its next enthusiast. A 996 that ticks all the boxes:
Coupé, rear-wheel drive and manual, and in excellent condition.
The car received a new MOT in April and underwent maintenance at the Porsche specialist Resto, costing around 1000 euros. This included replacing the brake oil, spark plugs and air filter. New engine mounts were also fitted.
Over the last few years, I have added around 7,000 km to the mileage, addressing the following issues:
Modifications and maintenance
– Full “Resto” modifications, including IMS, cooling and AOS (Resto is a well known Porsche specialist in the Netherlands).
– All wishbones, control arms, stabiliser rods, etc. renewed (OE).
– New sports suspension from Koni (Sportkit yellow with H&R springs).
– All shock absorber rubbers and top bearings are also new.
– New Topgear sports dampers
– New (OE) engine mounts
– 18″ Carrera rims fitted with new Michelin Pilot Sport tyres with N-coding (Porsche-approved). 17″ originals are also present.
– Central console delete (GT3 delete). The original is also present.
– The car has been fully serviced by a paintless dent repairer, who removed small parking dents, etc.
– Regular maintenance (servicing and minor repairs) carried out at Porsche specialist Resto.
NOTE: Nearly €10,000 spent on demonstrable maintenance and improvements.
Eur. 10,000,- spent on demonstrable maintenance and improvements. It has barely been driven since that time. It is, of course, going to cost me money with the sale, but I am a stickler for detail and just want the car to be in perfect condition.
The 996 is in excellent condition. The exterior and interior are both in excellent condition, and it is absolutely a 996.2 as you would want it. It’s not the cheapest for sale, but I think it’s one of the best. I rarely see them in this condition at meetings or with specialists.
Drawbacks?
The air conditioning doesn’t work. I’ve already had it fixed once, but I thought it was pretty much finished now. So the next enthusiast can tackle that.
The car originally comes from Belgium. It was imported in May 2021 and I bought it directly after import. There are a large number of invoices.
Note: A/C currently not working.
A great example for true enthusiasts.
