The Porsche 993 Turbo is one of the most sought-after classic 911s of all time—primarily because it is the last air-cooled Turbo generation. “With many possibilities” can mean a number of things here: tuning, usage, collector’s value, or customization.

For this vehicle, the focus was on using it as a sports car. As part of this, the vehicle was converted to rear-wheel drive with a coilover suspension. The stock wheels were replaced with lightweight OZ rims. The moderate power increase, achieved with the help of HJS catalysts and a software tune, prioritized drivability and the turbos’ response. Additionally, a GRP GT2 tailgate, a GRP front hood, and a different front bumper were installed to optimize weight and aerodynamics. Inside, the carpets were removed and a roll cage was installed. Lightweight bucket seats with 6-point harnesses are also available; currently, the original seats with standard seatbelts are installed. To save weight, the sunroof was removed, and the rear side windows and rear window were replaced with Makrolon. All modifications have been approved by the TÜV.

Of course, there is the option to restore the vehicle fully or partially to its original condition, as all the removed parts are available and can be purchased for an additional fee. The interior could also be customized to your own taste.

The Porsche was built in Zuffenhausen on December 17, 1996, shortly before the Christmas holidays. I took ownership of the car in June 2010. Now we are parting ways after many wonderful, accident-free miles.
