The vehicle in detail

For sale is a very well-maintained Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Targa from January 1984 in Guards Red with a black interior.

The car was originally delivered to Los Angeles and has spent its entire life there. As a result, the body is in exceptionally good condition and completely rust-free. Even typical weak spots on German vehicles, such as the rear wheel wells or the sill areas at the door sills, are completely rust-free. A viewing on the lift is possible.

Today, the vehicle, with German registration and an H-license plate, is in excellent technical and cosmetic condition. The odometer reading is 166,000 kph.

Matching numbers and Porsche certificate of origin are available. Also included:

The black Porsche Nappa leather interior has been reupholstered. In addition, the dashboard, windshield (including the seal), and steering wheel have been replaced or refurbished.

The car has been fully converted to European specifications:

* European front/rear turn signals
* European rear bumper
* new fog lights

The front and rear bumpers were repainted as part of this process. Original body panels and clean gap dimensions are present. The Targa roof is watertight, and the original seals are in good condition for the car’s age.

I personally oversaw and inspected the Porsche’s technical condition together with a TÜV inspector as part of a comprehensive §21 inspection. This is therefore not just a standard general inspection.

Numerous technical repairs have been carried out in recent years:

The car drives exactly as a good air-cooled 911 should: precisely, directly, and with a great classic 3.2 Carrera sound. Whether cruising on a relaxed country road or tackling a sporty Alpine pass—this car is simply a ton of fun.

The car has never been tampered with or tuned. Only the radio has been replaced with a modern Bluetooth radio.

I work as an automotive mechatronics technician in a Porsche workshop and have been deeply involved with air-cooled Porsche models for many years. The vehicle has always been maintained with great care.

I am selling the car only because I currently want to focus on restoring my 1977 911 2.7 Coupé.
