Porsche replica manufacturers are numerous, but not all achieve the perfection of the original model. There are always details that make them look like what they are, simple replicas. But the Chamonix models have always gone further and the details are taken care of to the smallest detail.

In the 90s, the prestigious magazines Road&Track (United States) and Auto Motor und Sport (Germany) recognized the Chamonix replicas as the best in the world.

This replica was made in April 2007. A Volkswagen from February 1957 was used as the base of the model, the same time when the original Speedsters were made, which adds to the appeal of this unit. In the vehicle documentation, this last date appears.

Volkswagen 4-cylinder boxer engine with 1,587cc and Solex 34 carburetors. An engine that offers similar specifications to those of the 356  Porsche1600cc engine.

The excellent quality of the bodywork is the result of fiberglass lamination (laid by hand with manual pressing), a method that provides greater regularity, without surface undulations or thickness variations, which translates into less weight and a better dimensional control of the pieces.

This unit offers its owner 99% of the pleasure of the original model, but costing only 10% of its value.
