The Porsche 356 C presented here is a particularly authentic and characterful example, originally delivered in June 1964. As a later C-version, it benefits from factory disc brakes, enhancing driving confidence and usability, while period-correct Porsche 911 wheels and an electronic tachometer add a subtle touch of practicality without compromising its originality.
This example was originally delivered to California, where it proudly wore its black license plates. It was meticulously maintained in the San Francisco Bay Area by renowned Porsche specialists such as Kirberg Racing and The Stable (Alan Kingen), both respected names within the classic Porsche community. Their legacy is still visible through period stickers, adding to the car’s provenance and story.
Accompanied by its official Porsche Birth Certificate / Certificate of Authenticity, this 356C remains a fully matching numbers example, preserving its original engine, gearbox, and identity. Technically, the car is in excellent condition and ready for any journey, whether short drives or long-distance touring.
For the past 15 years, the car has resided in Belgium with a dedicated enthusiast and former Porsche employee, whose collection included notable models such as the 2.7 RS and 3.2 Speedster. As a result, the car starts effortlessly and drives exactly as it should.

The interior remains original and equally authentic, showing signs of use consistent with its age, yet featuring well-preserved seats and fully functional instrumentation.
The tyres are in excellent condition, and the car is currently fitted with a sportier “spaghetti” exhaust system. Importantly, the original exhaust and bumper brackets are included, along with an additional set of three original wheels, offering flexibility for originality or personalization.
The vehicle is registered, insured, and roadworthy in Belgium, with technical inspection valid until 2030.
A professional appraisal conducted in 2025 classified the car as “Class 3 – Good”, describing it as a well-maintained, usable classic with normal signs of age, free from structural corrosion and requiring no immediate repairs — a ready-to-drive example that can be enjoyed immediately. An authentic and matching numbers 1964 Porsche 356 C with a rich California history, carefully maintained by renowned specialists and later comprehensively rebuilt in Belgium.
