Technology & Performance. The 718 Boxster S is powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder turbocharged boxer engine with variable turbine geometry. The engine delivers 350 pk and 420 Nm of torque and is paired with the 7-speed PDK transmission.

Combined with PDK and the Sport Chrono Package, the Boxster S accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.2 seconds. The top speed is 285 km/h.

The mid-engine layout is one of the 718 Boxster’s most important features. Because the engine is positioned in front of the rear axle, weight distribution is optimal and the car responds very directly to steering and throttle inputs. Combined with PASM and Sport Chrono, this results in exceptionally neutral and predictable handling, both on winding roads and during everyday driving.
