This European-market 1985 Porsche 911 Carrera Coupe underwent a bespoke backdate restoration by Sportscars Holland. Finished in Aquamarine Blue, it presents with classic long-hood bodywork enhanced by racing-inspired details. The cabin is trimmed in a purposeful black RS-style interior featuring fixed-back bucket seats, lightweight door panels, a MOMO Prototipo steering wheel, and a half roll cage. Power is supplied by a thoroughly revised 3.2-liter flat-six engine mated to a 5-speed manual transaxle. The build was completed in Europe roughly two years ago, with just 5,000 kilometers driven since.
The chassis shows just 51,987 miles, with fewer than 1,300 miles since the build. Both the engine and transmission were completely disassembled and meticulously gone through to ensure everything was in top condition.
915=The 915 transmission was developed in-house by Porsche and was first used in 1972. Essentially, the Porsche 915 gearbox is a revision of the Porsche 901 gearbox that was used in the 911 F-model. Due to the constantly increasing torque of the engines, a new gearbox was needed that could cope with this.
Lightweight fiberglass was used for the bumpers and hood, the latter featuring a center-fill fuel tank. The stripped-down interior is outfitted with black BF Torino seats, a MOMO steering wheel, and a roll cage. Replica Fuchs wheels mounted with Toyo R888R tires complete the period-correct look. This backdate is titled and registered in North Carolina.
