Porsche 911 Carrera 3.2 Speedster
Highlights
- Low mileage!
- Matching numbers
- In Belgium since 1991
Few modern classics embody the essence of Porsche’s heritage as purely as the 911 Speedster. Built as a tribute to the 356 Speedster of the 1950s, the 1989 911 3.2 Speedster marked the end of an era — the last open-top 911 to feature the iconic G-series body and air-cooled flat-six engine. Produced for just one year, only 2,102 examples left the factory, of which 822 were destined for the US market.
Chassis WP0ZZZ91ZKS173470 was delivered new in July 1989 by Porsche Inglewood, California, and first registered in September 1989. It retains its original matching-numbers 3.2-litre engine (type 930/25) developing 214 hp, paired with the sought-after G50 five-speed manual transmission. The car was imported to Belgium in the early 1990s and officially converted to European specifications, with a certificate of conformity and individual approval issued by D’Ieteren, Porsche’s Belgian importer, in 1991.
