Restoration:
The restoration began with the removal of the paint from the car, followed by derusting (phosphoric acid bath), then the bodywork was given a KTL coating to protect against rust, after which further repairs were made to the bodywork with lead where necessary, and finally the car was completely repainted. Finally, the car was completely rebuilt, with every part either replaced or reconditioned so that the car is in top condition, ready for the next 50 years.
The car has completely new electrical wiring, a new KW V3 clubsport coilover suspension set, modified suspension, new steering gear, electric windows, new adjustable power steering, heated seats, air conditioning, custom-designed original rims, new audio system with Bluetooth connection to iPhone, etc. The Porsche has an even weight distribution of 48/52 per cent, giving it much better road holding than any other Porsche 911 classic car.
More than 2,500 hours of work have gone into restoring this car.
Electrification:
The car has been electrified with a powerful 300 hp Tesla motor, accelerating from 0 to 100 km per hour in 4.8 seconds. The car drives as superbly as a Porsche 911 should.
It is equipped with an AC charger and a DC fast charger, as well as a 54.8 kW battery pack, allowing the car to charge from 20 to 80 per cent in 25 minutes, with a range of approximately 300 kilometres.
