Porsche 911 Coupe SWB (1966)
Presenting the earliest, original version of the 911 model, presented in the iconic Slate Grey (6601) color, paired with an elegant red leather interior. The car was delivered in this exact specification on April 26, 1966. Under the hood is a 2.0-liter engine producing 120 hp, powered by Weber carburetors. The car is equipped with a type 901 gearbox, featuring the classic “dogleg” first gear (shifted down and to the left). Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h (0–62 mph) takes 8.9 seconds.
This particular example has undergone a full restoration at the authorized Porsche Classic Lellek service center. The car was completely disassembled down to the last bolt and restored by qualified Porsche Classic technicians using original Porsche AG parts. Its originality has been preserved to the highest standard – the car features “matching numbers,” meaning the engine and gearbox are original and correspond to the chassis. Even the exhaust system is fully original, retaining its Porsche markings from 1966.
Additionally, the car is equipped with a factory-installed auxiliary Webasto parking heater, which is still operational, as well as the original radio that continues to enhance the driving experience. The wooden elements on the dashboard and steering wheel are carefully restored original factory components.
It is also worth mentioning the Pirelli Cinturato CN36 N4 tires, which are still produced by Pirelli specifically for classic cars. These tires carry Porsche homologation and feature the same tread pattern as when the car left the Stuttgart factory 58 years ago. However, Pirelli has incorporated a modern rubber compound to ensure improved safety.
