Porsche 911
Highlights
- Fully restored at very well known company
- New condition
- Matching numbers
You don’t buy a 1966 Porsche 911 2.0 Coupé because you are looking for “a classic car.” You buy it because you want exactly this era: the early 911 in its purest form, with that lightweight bodywork, the simple interior, and the feeling that everything is still mechanical and direct. And with this example, there is something added that you rarely find so complete anymore: it has been fully restored and now looks exactly as you hope a 1966 model looks when it has been done really well.
This car was restored by a very good Porsche restorer and is therefore in like-new condition. Not “neat for its age,” but truly fresh, sleek, and finished. The kind of result where you can see that the choice wasn’t for quick cosmetics, but for a restoration that is right in details, fit, and finish. More importantly: this is a matching numbers example. That makes the story not only more beautiful, but also more serious. Furthermore, the engine and transmission have been completely overhauled to original specifications, with many new parts. So not “patched up”, but technically rebuilt with respect for how Porsche intended it back then.
