Porsche 911 Modified

Porsche 911 Modified

Coupé, 1991

Highlights

  • Completely rebuilt
  • 3.9l RSR engine
  • Ready for immediate use

This Porsche 964 RS was delivered in Germany in 1991 and converted into an RSR specification car with a 3.9-liter racing engine by Stenborg Bilsport AB in Sweden in the late 1990s. Backed up by ONS and FIA/SBF documents as well as extensive invoices from Sweden and Norway, the vehicle has a traceable racing history in both countries. It is powered by the six-cylinder boxer engine, enlarged to 3.9 liters, in conjunction with the original, repeatedly revised G50 five-speed gearbox, supplemented by an FIA-compliant safety cage, Recaro racing seat, OMP seat belts and FT3 safety tank. Continuous maintenance, most recently by the Porsche Center Son and Auto TechSport in Norway, proves its immediate readiness for use. With its complete documentation, its motorsport history and the combination of original RS chassis and RSR conversion, this Porsche is an ideal vehicle for historic racing classes and at the same time a unique collector's item.

The vehicle in detail

Completely restored and ready for immediate use

The Porsche 964 RS is one of the most sought-after driving machines of the 1990s - uncompromisingly light, puristic and designed for driving dynamics. The even rarer Porsche 964 RSR is considered a motorsport icon and enjoys cult status among collectors today. Our Porsche 964 RS on offer was professionally converted into an RSR specification vehicle back in the 1990s: with a 3.9-liter RSR engine, FIA approval, extensive motorsport history and a very well-documented history from Germany, Sweden and Norway. It thus combines the authenticity of an original RS with the performance and exclusivity of an RSR. Following its recent complete rebuild , the Porsche 911 appears in very good technical and visual condition, ready for immediate use.

Racing history

The existing documentation is very extensive. The following can be summarized:

The Porsche 964 RS was actively used by Stenborg Bilsport AB in the GTR group in Sweden from the end of the 1990s and is documented by FIA/SBF acceptance booklets and photos with start number 64 in circuit races. After being sold to Norway around 2005/2006, the vehicle received an NBF Vognlisens and competed there in national GT races and club events. The regular technical inspections as well as extensive workshop invoices from Porsche Center Son and Auto TechSport prove the continuous racing use until the 2010s. In addition, the engine was recently overhauled at Stig's Garage in Sweden and expanded to 3.9 liters in the process, which further underlines the performance and uniqueness of this vehicle. The vehicle therefore has a traceable and proven racing history in two Scandinavian countries.

The vehicle is ideally suited for use in historic racing classes and presents itself as a ready-to-run, authentically documented Porsche 964 RS RSR conversion.
