Porsche 911, Restored and Reimagined by Singer (1991)
This car was very much built to encapsulate the finer details of the best 911s whilst still incorporating a modern twist. Optioned in Attack Grey, Singer’s version of Porsche’s famed ‘Slate Grey’ which was first introduced on the 356 as early as 1960 and has very much seen a resurgence in popularity more recently. Deviating from the norm, the exterior sees chrome bumperettes and trim contrasting the black livery and script and upfront and the bonnet features the important central fuel filler cap. The wheels echo the finish of the black and chrome in a matte finish. This example is fitter with the later, revised 4.0 litre powerplant producing 400 hp. Thanks to extensive use of carbon fibre for the majority of the body, the Singer weighs nearly 200kg less than a donor 964 Carrera 2, tipping the scales at just 1100kg all in.
