According to the Kardex build sheet, this 911S was delivered by Glockler Porsche in Frankfurt Germany. Originally finished in Polo Red (color code 6602) with a black leatherette interior. Factory equipment includes an electric sunroof, Webasto gas heater, tinted windshield, tinted rear window, loudspeaker, antenna, hazard light system, and headrests.
Mechanically this 911S does not run or drive but the 2.0L engine is matching per Kardex and does turn over. The undercarriage and front suspension are solid and in good condition. This 911S will need a full cosmetic and mechanical restoration. An excellent opportunity to acquire a matching 911S Coupe project with a rare factory sunroof.
History
The 1967 911S cars were the first to have extra horsepower, which was increased from 130HP to 160HP from the base model 911. 1967 was a unique transition year for Porsche and as a result, one of the most unique 911s ever produced. The 1967 911S had one of the lightest chassis as well as the lightest 2.0 liter “S” engine derived directly from the Porsche race program. This combination produced a true sport-purpose car.
