History
This 911S was originally delivered as a Hellgelb Sportomatic. On April 7, 1972, it was handed over to an Italian customer. Little is known about its early years, except that it was converted to a manual 915 gearbox and repainted red. From 1999 onwards, its history is well documented. A dealer imported the car to the Netherlands and sold it to H. Reitsma from Amsterdam, who had Porsche Service Kraan restore it to optimal condition. In August 2002, I purchased the 911. After a few years of enjoyment, I put the car aside, only to fully restore it at Classic Job (NL) in 2016. I decided to restore it exactly as I would have ordered it new: Silber Metallic. The restoration process took two years. In 2024, I had major maintenance done at Porsche Service Kraan, the same specialists who took care of the car when it first arrived in the Netherlands.
Factory options:

The car is in excellent condition. Sportomatic comes separatly.
Childhood dream
From a young age, I was fascinated by cars. I was born above a Citroën garage in Emmeloord, the Netherlands. My father took over the Citroën dealership from his father, and eventually, I took it over from him.
Every summer, we traveled to Switzerland. I always sat behind my father so I could get a good view of the cars approaching on the Autobahn, always focusing on one brand: Porsche.
I suspect my father carefully nurtured my love for Porsche. There are pictures of me at eight years old standing in front of a Ferrari dealership, yet my eyes were only on a traded-in 911. Two years later, we visited the old Porsche museum in Stuttgart. From that moment on, owning a Porsche became the dream…
From dream to goal
Fast forward ten years… My dream had turned into a goal. While studying, I worked every free hour to save up for my own Porsche. After three years of hard work, my savings account was ready. During my search, I learned a lot about the different models—it had to be a 2.4. Reliable, well-developed, and with that classic look.
In August 2022, I found my car in a Dutch national newspaper: a red 911 2.4S. The owner was about to emigrate to Australia. A week later, in a daze, I was driving my Porsche home…
The next dream goal
I have really enjoyed my 911—drives with my wife, rallies with a friend, and ice cream runs with the kids. But after 23 years, it’s time to say goodbye. The reason? Another dream within the same brand: a 356 Speedster.
This 911 is an incredible driver’s car. It is ready to fulfill someone else’s childhood dream.
