In 1988, a new registration number, HJI 14, was obtained from the Vehicle Registration Office Department of Transport. From then until 1999, the car served as a weekend driver in the UK, leaving behind a substantial documentation trail that includes maintenance bills, MOTs, road tax receipts, and insurance records.
Moreover, this exceptional Porsche 911 was registered in the Porsche Club UK and the Early 911 Register UK, with the ambition of securing a place in the official catalogs as a cherished classic in circulation. The owner actively participated in prestigious events such as the Benson & Hedges Classic Tours and the Norwich Union RAC Classics.
In 1999, the car was imported to Greece, where it was enjoyed during weekends, primarily at Classic Cars Tour events. However, in 2021, a pivotal decision was made to embark on a meticulous nut & bolt restoration, bringing it back to its original factory glory. The car underwent a comprehensive transformation, with the body stripped to bare metal, receiving welding and detailed inspections and repairs in addition to an engine and gearbox rebuild.
The car received a total new repaint, returning to its original Tangerine – Blood Orange /6899 color. Today, it proudly stands in showroom condition original and matching numbers, a true representation of its 1967 factory origins, validated by the Porsche Certificate of Authenticity.
