The Porsche 911S Targa was delivered from the factory on January 17, 1969, to Volkswagen Pacific in the United States. Its initial registration to a family in La Mesa on March 21 is documented in the Porsche Archives.
The car was ordered in the factory color Silver Metallic with a variety of optional equipment:
9354 Electrically heated rear window
9346 Tinted door windows
9348 Tinted windshield
9431 Yellow halogen headlights
9437 Tinted side windows
9369 Paint finish at extra charge (metallic)
9239 Genuine leather seats
From the time of delivery until 1991, the Porsche was registered in California by its first two owners. In 1991, a family member of the third owner from the Netherlands purchased the Porsche in the U.S. and imported it into the EU. The car remained with the family until I purchased it in 2004. At the time of purchase, the vehicle had only 38,019 miles on the odometer and was in good, accident-free original condition.
Between 2014 and 2018, a comprehensive restoration was carried out by selected specialists to the highest standards. Extensive documentation and countless invoices attest to the outstanding work performed from start to finish. In addition, a high-quality photo book was created that details every step of the process.
Since its completion, the Porsche has been driven only a few kilometers and is currently in immaculate, like-new condition.
A Classic Data appraisal from 2023 indicates a value of 192,000 euros.
