The vehicle in detail

The 911 2.4 S Targa of the 1972 model year marks a special moment in the history of the F-model: the side-mounted oil filler flap was only used in this year and makes the "oil flap Targa" a coveted object among connoisseurs today. Only 989 examples were built in total.

The vehicle offered here was first registered on 19 May 1972 and is presented in blood orange (018) with a black leather interior - a combination that timelessly emphasizes its clear design language. All the main units have Matching numbers and the professionally overhauled 190 hp engine is today technically and visually almost as good as new, which enabled a top speed of around 230 kph at the time and made the 911 S one of the fastest production 911s of the early 1970s.

Although the vehicle was already in very good original condition, we at PS Automobile refined the entire chassis as a preventive measure: the suspension arms, suspension struts and brake mounts were dismantled, blasted, recoated and replaced with all bearings, bushes and shock absorbers. The result is a Targa that drives just as precisely as it looks - completely carefree and ready to drive.

The interior is accentuated by the period-correct Nardi leather steering wheel and the Halder "Twin Master" rally timer, while original Fuchs rims, clean gaps and a preserved underbody underline the high standard of care.
