Model History
With the 911 SC series, Porsche relied on the tried-and-tested 911 concept at the end of the 1970s, which was impressive both in everyday use and on winding country roads. The 911 SC was produced from 1978 to 1983 and was considered the successor to the 911 Carrera 2.7, with "SC" standing for "Super Carrera." Technically, the SC was distinguished by an air-cooled 3.0-liter six-cylinder boxer engine, which, in various configurations, produced between 180 and 204 hp. Other features include improved galvanization of the body to prevent rust, as well as standard safety features such as brake force distribution and an improved chassis. Thanks to its balanced technology and classic lines, the SC is now one of the most sought-after models of the air-cooled era.
