Model history

The Porsche 911 SC was introduced from model year 1978 as the sole 911 series and replaced the previous 911 and Carrera models. From 1984, it was replaced by the 911 Carrera. In technical terms, the SC was based on a 3.0-liter boxer engine, whose output was increased from 180 to 204 hp over the years. From 1979, black anodized trim parts and headlight rings painted in body color replaced the previous chrome-plated elements. To this day, the 911 SC is one of the most sought-after classic Porsche models.
