His personal advertisement caught the eye of the subsequent second owner from the Netherlands. He immediately decided to book a flight and travel to California in person. It is a beautiful story, described in detail in a letter to the new third owner, who is now ready to take over this beautiful Porsche 911.
The 911 is largely original. Despite the fact that in 2012 the 911 still had its original paintwork and showed no signs of rust, the traces of use were still a thorn in the side of the new owner. In 2012, he decided to restore the 911 to the condition it was in when it left the showroom in 1971. This process was extensively documented and resulted in the current beautiful result a few years later.
A restoration that is beautifully described and clearly shows that every detail has been thought through. A good example is the preservation of various original window stickers from the first owner. Only the seats have been replaced with better, new sports seats and the steering wheel with one from an S version. The original seats and steering wheel are of course still present.
As mentioned, the documentation from the first day in 1971 to today is excellent. The 911 itself reflects this. Naturally, it is fully matching numbers, comes with the original toolkit, spare wheel and jack, as well as the original Zenith carburettors (once replaced with Webers).
