This beautiful, accident-free US Targa was brought back to Germany in 2003 and then completely dismantled and rebuilt on a rust-free basis. It was repainted from its original color of signal yellow to light yellow. At 41,000 km after the restoration, the gearbox was overhauled and a revised replacement engine was installed. This was increased in power to around 170 hp, among other things by converting it to a Weber carburetor and sports air filter. The performance achieved is very impressive and comes close to S level.
The vehicle is largely in its original condition, has perfect gaps, is completely rust-free, has cavity-sealed, has underbody protection all around and aluminum inner fenders installed on all sides. The original rims were serviced by Fuchs. The Targa roof was recently completely dismantled and rebuilt with a new outer skin.
In 2021, a major maintenance was carried out with repairs to the entire electrics. The original leather steering wheel is present. The car was rarely driven with a 07 number, a new MOT will be carried out for the sale
