The vehicle in detail

The air conditioning is functional. With the exception of the turbo boost pressure gauge, all dashboard instruments are working.

Mechanically, the car performs very satisfactorily. There are no abnormal noises, it starts immediately and the engine is in very good health.

The history of the car is known since 2002 with a substantial file of invoices from that date onwards. However, the car does not have its service booklet. Among the many expenses, a complete engine rebuild was carried out in 2004 at 107,245 km for nearly 10,000 euros. Maintenance has since been very regular, and an annual service will be carried out for the sale.

We have sold this car three times, the last owner purchased it in 2022.

It is visible at our premises by appointment.

At the Paris Motor Show in 1973, Porsche presented a road going 911 prototype equipped with a turbo engine. After a year of intense development and despite the oil crisis, the company unveiled the production model in October 1974, the 930 3.0 Turbo. Equipped at that time with a 3.0 litre engine producing 260 hp and a 4 speed gearbox, it marked the beginning of a long commercial success story for the Turbo at Porsche, a story that continues within the 911 range to this day.

In August 1977, the 3.0 was replaced by a 3.3 litre engine with intercooler producing 300 hp, which would remain unchanged for 12 years, still paired with the 4 speed gearbox. This 4 speed gearbox, type 930/30 developed for the Turbo, evolved over the years and finally in 1989 Porsche introduced a 5 speed gearbox developed from the G50 transmission that had been introduced on the Carrera 3.2 in 1986.

The Porsche 930 Turbo was produced in 10,087 units in Turbo 3.3 4 speed version between 1977 and 1988 in European specifications.
