The vehicle in detail

This Porsche 912 looks Spanish to you? That's right!

The fact that a Porsche found its way to Spain during the Franco dictatorship is extraordinary.

An early unrestored Porsche from the 0 series as an EU(!) delivery in original condition, an absolute rarity!

It was the 60s on the Iberian Peninsula during the Franco dictatorship, when ordinary people drove their local Seat. Doctors, lawyers and people with connections to the military were allowed to drive VW Beetles.

But a Porsche? That was an absolute exception!

But according to the numerous documents that exist about this car, that is exactly what happened. In October 1966, this vehicle - clearly an example of the zero series, which was built until the factory vacations in 1967 - was delivered to the then vehicle importer Seida in Madrid. The first owner, a major industrialist from Valencia, raced it in his spare time. This Porsche and its proud first owner can be found in many lists of results from competitions on the Iberian peninsula.

After the man's death, the family kept the Porsche until August 2004, taking good care of it for a total of 38 years. They then sold it to the Spanish racing driver Carlos Beltran. After some time, he in turn passed the vehicle on to an olive oil manufacturer from Madrid, from whom I was able to purchase the Porsche in 2016. After numerous pleasure trips on the Balearic island through the Tramuntana mountains and also the north of Germany, this attractive and reliable 912 was always a faithful companion.

Even today, this original Porsche is still in top condition and even the chrome, seals and paintwork have survived the almost 60 years in excellent condition.

A current, detailed Classic Data valuation report is available.
