General:
Fully restored Porsche 912 from early 1966, complete with its "Geburtsurkunde" (certificate of origin). It was registered in the Netherlands in March 1966.
History:
Originally ordered in white. The owner did not like the color. The Porsche was sent back to the factory to be repainted in slate gray. This has been confirmed by Porsche Heteren and is also noted on the birth certificate.
Technical:
During the overhaul, the engine was upgraded by installing new Shasta 86mm cylinders, bringing the displacement to 1,720 cc. A different camshaft was also installed: a Neutek SX 1. The fully overhauled engine block has matching numbers, and the transmission is also matching. Only original parts have been used: turn signals, headlights, seats, rubber components, etc. All parts have been powder-coated, galvanized, and chrome-plated. The original steel rims have been expertly restored.
